This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application Get The Look ("the App").

Information We Collect

Selfie Images

The App allows you to upload selfie photos to try on different makeup looks, hairstyles, and hair colors. Your selfie images are uploaded to our servers for AI-based processing. We store your selfie to enable reuse across multiple applications, avoiding repeated uploads. You can delete your selfie data at any time through the App.

Face Detection

The App uses on-device face detection technology (Google ML Kit) to validate that your photo is suitable for makeup application. This checks face position, size, head angle, eye openness, and facial landmark visibility to ensure accurate results.

All face detection processing runs entirely on your device. No face geometry, biometric data, facial landmarks, or detection results are stored, transmitted to our servers, or shared with any third party. Only a pass/fail validation result is used within the App to determine if your photo meets the quality requirements for makeup, hairstyle, and hair color applications. This data exists only in your device's memory during the validation check and is discarded immediately after.

Anonymous Authentication

We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication to create a unique user session. This does not require you to provide a name, email address, or any other personally identifiable information. A unique anonymous identifier is generated for your device.

User Profile Preferences

During onboarding, the App collects optional preferences such as your beauty goals, gender, skin tone, and budget preferences. This information is used to personalize your experience, including look and product recommendations tailored to your preferences.

Subscription and Payment Information

If you subscribe to our premium features, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple (via the App Store) and RevenueCat (our subscription management service). We do not directly collect or store your payment card details. We receive only subscription status information (active, expired, etc.) to manage your access to premium features.

Device Information

We collect basic device information such as device type, operating system version, and a unique device identifier for analytics and to provide a better user experience.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you interact with the App, including looks you try, features you use, and general usage patterns. This data helps us improve the App and is collected through Firebase Analytics and PostHog. Firebase Analytics operates without advertising identifiers (IDFA).

Advertising Measurement

We use the Meta (Facebook) SDK to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. With your consent (via the App Tracking Transparency prompt), a device advertising identifier may be shared with Meta for this purpose. You can change this at any time in your device's Privacy & Security settings.

Push Notification Tokens

If you grant permission, we collect your device's push notification token to send you notifications when your AI-generated result is ready. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings.

How We Use Your Information

AI Processing

Your selfie images are processed using third-party AI service providers on our behalf to generate transformed versions with makeup looks, hairstyles, or hair colors applied. Images are sent securely to our AI processing partner for generation. The AI processing occurs on cloud servers, not on your device.

Our AI processing partner processes your images solely to generate the transformed result. Your images are not retained by our AI partner after processing is complete and are not used to train AI models.

For custom looks where you provide a reference image, that image may also be analyzed by an AI vision service to understand the style before applying it to your selfie.

Generated images are stored on our servers to allow you to view your history. We do not use your images for any purpose other than providing you with the virtual try-on service.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure cloud servers. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Selfie images and generated results are stored securely and associated with your anonymous user ID.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain your selfie images and generated look results for as long as your account exists. You can delete individual look history entries through the App. You can also delete all your data directly from the App's Settings screen. Alternatively, you can contact us using the information provided below to request complete data deletion.

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:
